This morning, I'm pinch-hitting for Carol, getting the kids off to school. I usually try to talk the boys into buying lunch (so I don't have to pack it :) When I tried that on Max today, he said, "Dad, the school lunches suck...and I blame Michelle Obama."

It's Halloween. Max looked at a picture of two folks dressed up as Hippies and said, "Look, Dad...two people dressed from the Old Times!"

Shortly after Mom found Max's shoes (again!) and presented them to him, Dad asked, "Max, what would you do without your Mom? Go to school with no shoes on?"

Max replied, "No, I wouldn't go to school at all!"

I'm Thirsty

In an effort to get the kids to politely request a drink, whenever they scream out, "I'm Thirsty!", I respond with, "Hi, Thrsty...nice to meet you!"

Well, this time I said, "Hi Thirsty, where's Max?" Max then said, "Well, if you want to see Max, then you better get Thirsty a drink..."

"Please God, make me 7 (years old)." He then promptly asked me, "Can God do that?" I said, "Sure, but it would take him about three years (since, at the time, he was only 4.)

Max has started adding on little special requests for God at the end of his prayers. Tonight, he asked, "Please God, fix my toys when they break."

After Max's bath one night, he smelled his feet and proclaimed, "Hey, my feet don't stink!"

Max was counting with his fingers, when he became frustrated. He told Mom he was upset becasue he "can never be bigger than 5." When she asked why he would think that, he said, "Look, I only have 5 fingers!"
